That's the part of the chimney we work on. Not the flue, not the firebox, not the brickwork below. The cap, the chase cover, and the crown.
The narrow focus is deliberate. A mason might get up on ten chimney tops in a season. We're up there most working days, in the same weather, seeing the same problems turn up again and again. It adds up.

Hours: [CLIENT INPUT: Confirm business hours.]
Calling is usually quickest, particularly if water's actively coming in or your cap has come off. If it's easier to write it down, the form works just as well and we'll get back to you the same business day.
Caps, chase covers, crowns. We install them, replace them, and repair them. That's the whole list.
- Here's what you get when you call us:
Our own crew on your roof, owner supervised - A free estimate with photos, so you're looking at what we looked at
- A fixed price in writing before anyone starts
- Scheduling inside the week, or same day if your cap is off and rain is coming
- Licensed, insured, and every installation backed by our workmanship warranty
Why Caps Fail on the Shoreline
- If your crown is solid and the cap just needs refastening, refastening is the whole quote
- If the crown really does need repair, you get photos from the roof showing you why
- We're on chimney tops most working days, across the same thirteen shoreline towns
- We know which mounting styles hold up to shoreline wind and which ones don't
- We know the older multi-flue stacks in Guilford and Essex usually need one custom cap rather than three separate ones
The quote is fixed and in writing
What you approve is what you pay, with nothing added afterward.
What Happens After You Get in Touch?
We ask a few questions about what you are seeing and whether the chimney is masonry or framed and sided. That helps us understand whether we may be dealing with a cap, chase cover, crown, flashing, or another exterior water-entry issue.
We schedule a visit, usually within the week when conditions and workload allow. Active water entry and storm-related exposure can be prioritized based on urgency and safe access.
We inspect the exterior from the roof and photograph what we find. Depending on the problem, that can include the cap, flue dimensions, chase cover, crown, upper chimney, flashing, and immediate roof transition.
You receive a written fixed quote with the photos. Nothing starts until you approve the scope.
If the inspection shows the problem is primarily in the surrounding roof system, we can point you toward Roof Repair Pro for the roof-side repair.

What Is Useful to Have Ready When You Call?
None of this is required, but these details can help us understand the problem before the visit:
- What you are seeing: water, rust, a missing or damaged chimney cap, animal noise, staining, or debris.
- Whether the chimney is masonry or framed and sided.
- How many visible flue openings there are, if you can see them safely from the ground.
- Whether the problem happens during every rain or mainly during wind-driven storms.
- Whether the issue began after a recent storm or has developed gradually.
- Whether water is actively entering now or the problem is preventative.
Storm Damage, Active Water Entry, or an Open Flue?
Tell us when you call if a cap has blown off, water is actively getting in, or the chimney top is exposed. We will prioritize the request based on urgency, weather, workload, and safe roof access.
We can also photograph the visible exterior condition and provide an itemized written quote for your records. Insurance coverage and claim decisions remain with your insurance carrier.
